widsom is very precious. a wise person can turn someone's life around. his own life around. how does one acquire this wisdom? Taoism definitely helps, if you really examine Tao and edify yourself. i do not know if it is easy or not. but i think i have begun, even if it is only getting ready for the first step.
i've always been one figuring out wut's right and wrong for my self, my own principles and morals. and what not. and yes, it is much easy for you give advice to a friend then yourself. because you can't always do wut you think is best. you are involved so you got your emotions in it so everything is subjective. a wise man thus is one who is wise himself- seems unnecessarily repetitive but it says a lot.
for example.. recently i've been troubled. because a person did some things. it really hurt and bothered me. for a while. the same thing happened yesterady... someone disrespected my grandma, and my mom got angry... so she asked me how i felt. i was in a position to say: "look at the whole person, mom... not just wut she just did. as long as grandma is cool with it, it's not worth the fustration. and i bet grandma isn't mad. cause she's wise. it's not her problem, but the disrespectul person's lack of character." i was right. my grandma wasn't bothered. SOOOO it was easy for me to say that, standing in third person. but then i thought to myself. why do i let myself be bothered... lookin at the whole person, it's a wonderful person- not perfect, but no one is perfect. so now i see it in a different light. but im not done seeing it. wut i mean is im not over it, but i definitely have a different perspective on the whole thing. and i am doin at least a lil better regarding that. actually i'm very confused. because my perspective changes with more pondering...
in about two weeks im heading home! i'll miss this place but i'm looking forward to school.
hmm i bought a taiwanese donut yesterday. but i didn't get to eat it. it disappeared. oh well.
been discussing dao with teacher/Reverend Chen almost every day for about 5 hours. i feel very fortunate to have this opportunity. she treats me/cooks me lunch too. thank you. so she's an english teacher. she propagates Tien Tao throughout the world. and she's written a draft of a book introducing Tao with both english and chinese. im helping her edit it. into easily understood english. some of it is really hard to do. the translations i mean.
okkkkkkk. BYE!
